Research Interests
My research focuses on better use of energy in a manufacturing setting. I am analyzing the powerhouse concept of energy distribution in a manufacturing facility and comparing it to alternatives. The four major energy resources considered are steam, natural gas, compressed air, and electricity. The end result of my work will be a model that can be used to analyze a manufacturing facility's energy network and develop a plan to improve the system.
My particular research interests lie in:
- improving manufacturing energy systems
- save energy
- reduce environmental burden
- reduce cost
- develop strategy to move toward more energy efficient manufacturing
