Research Interests

Currently, I am working on a project to create reusable, problem-independent sets of models which can be used to simultaneously analyze a large number of solution sets. In the beginning of the design process, many engineers make design choices that are poorly understood, thereby reducing the amount of solution sets that need to be analyzed and modeled. This practice is out of necessity for time constraints. However, the basis of my research project is that there is information available for design engineers to model sets of design solutions in order to effectively characterize the entire set of possible design solutions in a timely manner. These models would allow analysis on large potential sets of solutions, thereby guaranteeing that the optimal design has been found.

During this project, I will be working with Richard Malak, a doctorate student who is also working with Christ Paredis. The idea for this project is under the umbrella of Richard Malak's doctorate work.
