Research Interests

  • My research interests center around systematic function-based design of products (complex engineering systems), multifunctional material concepts, and associated embodiment design-processes in an integrated fashion from a systems perspective.
  • Specifically, my research is focused on:
    • function-based concept generation and evaluation,
    • innovation management,
    • robust concept exploration to manage uncertainty and complexity, as well as
    • integrated product, process, and materials design.
