2007 Ekiden Relay Race Team
Pictures from the 2007 Atlanta Ekiden relay race in Piedmont Park.
On September 23rd, several SRL members participated in the 2007 Atlanta Ekiden relay race in Piedmont Park. The race was 20.4 miles long, and was broken into six legs of 3.4 miles each. Our team finished 66th overall (out of over 100 teams) and 27th out of 39 teams in the open mixed division with a total time of 2:55:46 (see the full results here). Not bad considering some of us never had run a race before and one of us had bronchitis at the time.

Oh, yes, our team name was "Mary had a little llama." No, there was no particular reason for this. We just thought it was funny. ;-)
