Educational Experience

I received my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, in May of 2006. I performed undergraduate research for Dr. Peter Quesada concerning the post-surgery effects of prehabilitation on the biomechanics of the human knee.

Research Interests

My research interests concern modeling and simulation for systems engineering and design.  I apply my studies to the design of fluid power systems.  To do so, I commonly utilize the OMG Systems Modeling Language and the Modelica Modeling Language.

Hobbies and Interests

I like to play all kinds of sports, but I particularly enjoy biking, swimming, ultimate frisbee, bowling, and volleyball. My hobbies include tinkering with computers, building and maintaining bicycles, cooking and baking (especially spicy, exotic foods), listening to all types of music, and traveling whenever possible. I am always interested in learning new sports, watching all kinds of sports (you name it...basketball, baseball, football, diving, curling, auto racing, whatever), experimenting with new cuisines, keeping up with world news, and emerging technologies.
